HQ Refurbishment

Martin Audio supplier of award-winning professional loudspeaker sound systems were looking to refurbish and adapt their existing facilities to meet the growing needs of the business, improve workflow and create a modern welcoming environment the whole team could be proud of.
In Flow Events worked closely with the Martin Audio team and co-ordinated between them and the numerous contractors to bring their plans to fruition.
Open plan offices were upgraded and developed to accommodate the differing needs of each department which included upgrading data, electrics and lighting, as well as converting office space into dedicated workshop and service areas. A brand-new bespoke measurement chamber and installation of a 50 sqm mezzanine level provide much needed additional space.
Creation of collaboration areas, meeting pods and a large open plan kitchen now provides the whole team with a variety of options when working, meeting and brainstorming.
Work didn’t stop at the internals; the units underwent a 10 week roof and gutter refurbishment using cutting edge systems designed to restore and preserve.

As a result of there being no events during the Coronavirus Pandemic, like others we had to diversify and were extremely lucky and grateful to find a job with Martin Audio Ltd for 2021.
What an amazing group of people at Martin Audio and breath taking loudspeakers too.
Initially brought on board to help the launch preparation of the new Optimal Audio brand. Gavin had to turn his hand to new challenges in marketing and rapidly learn many new acronyms and Pro Audio terms and specifications to project manage the generation of all the supporting information and documentation for the launch presentation, website and more.
We will be forever indebted to Dom Harter, James King and the rest of the team and hope to be considered as part of the #MartinAudioFamily for many years to come.

During the Coronavirus Pandemic in 2020 an industry campaign spearheaded by PLASA began to gather some momentum. From the initial beginnings of an awareness video, there was a desire to create an activation that would attract the attention of Government and the public to highlight the plight of the events industry. They called Gary White, who in turn called Gavin to get involved too.
Gavin initially took on the role of Regional Lead to co-ordinate all the activities across the UK, then developed into the Event Team Lead and Steering Group member.
It was truly an honour to work closely (but remotely) with all of the teams around the country, the events team, groups such as the Survival Tour team, the Steering Group and more to deliver some amazing activations like Throw us a Line, Survival in the Square, the International Day, a Christmas advert, the #WeMakeEvents Christmas Speakeasy and more.
By rubbing shoulders in little zoom boxes with people we've still never met, but will always consider to be friends, we're very proud of all that the people of #WeMakeEvents achieved, from fundraising, awareness, political lobbying and above all else a community of people helping each other through the most devastating period our industry has ever faced.
